From a Dream to a Sports Academy: The Love All Sports Story

Love All Sports Academy Trivandrum — Founded by Sukesh R Pillai

Every meaningful thing I've built in my life began with an uncomfortable question: why doesn't this exist? The question that led to Love All Sports Academy was simple — why doesn't Trivandrum have a proper, professionally run centre of sports excellence for its young people?

The Problem I Saw

Growing up in Kerala, I was passionate about sport. Badminton, cricket, football — sport was not just recreation, it was education. It taught me focus, resilience, teamwork and how to handle both victory and defeat with grace. But the infrastructure for young athletes in Trivandrum was scattered, underfunded and informal.

There were talented young people everywhere. What they lacked was a structured environment — proper coaching, the right facilities, consistent support and the kind of community that makes young athletes feel they belong to something larger than themselves.

The Decision

I was working in the telecom industry, traveling internationally, building a successful career. By most measures, I had no business starting a sports academy. I had no background in professional coaching. I had no existing infrastructure. What I had was a conviction and an engineering mind that knew how to solve problems.

"A dream without a plan is just a wish. I had the dream. I made the plan. Then I executed it."

After months of research, planning and conversations with coaches, athletes and parents, I committed to the idea. On October 20, 2016, Love All Sports Academy opened its doors in Trivandrum.

Building the Community

The early days were humbling. We started small — a handful of students, rented facilities, coaches who believed in the vision enough to join us at the beginning. Every week brought new challenges: scheduling, equipment, parent expectations, student motivation.

What sustained us was the community we were building. Parents who saw their children thrive. Young athletes who found their confidence. Coaches who felt the satisfaction of watching a student master a skill they'd struggled with for weeks. This community was the heartbeat of Love All Sports.

Growth and Recognition

Over the years, Love All Sports Academy grew to become a recognised name in Kerala's sports landscape. Media coverage followed. The stories of our students began to circulate — boys and girls from Trivandrum competing at higher levels than anyone had expected.

Our approach was always holistic. Sport is not just about physical skill. It is about character. We focused as much on values — discipline, respect, teamwork — as on technical excellence.

What Sport Gave Me, What I Want to Give Others

Looking back, I understand that sport gave me many of the qualities that made everything else in my life possible. The ability to handle pressure. The habit of consistent effort. The understanding that setbacks are part of the process, not the end of it.

Love All Sports Academy exists so that another generation of young people in Trivandrum can receive those same gifts — wrapped in a game they love.
